A HUUGGEEE thank you to Lavazza who sent me along to the amazing masterclass with Giovanni Pilu (of Pilu at Freshwater), you see I won an instagram competition and won two tickets to the amazing event. It was a great night and I have to say, I learned quite a few Italian cooking tips and tricks - one that I have already put to use is making pasta with semolina and water - SO EASY and super delicious!
I urge you all out to grab Giovanni Pilu's delightful cookbook, A Sardinian Cookbook, which has many delicious recipes and a great insight to this part of Italy (warning it will make you want to plan a trip to Italy ASAP!). It will make a great gift and it is a wonderful addition to any cookbook collection, especially if you love authentic Italian cuisine (who doesn't?!) The book covers everything from roasts, to sweet potato bread, pastas and Italian desserts - it is magnifico!
