One Ingredient Ice Cream!

So I had heard about this quite a bit on foodie blogs but was yet to give it a go, so last night I thought I would give it a try - if it worked great and if it didn't well then I wouldn't be so curious anymore, but to my delight it worked! So what is the one magical ingredient you ask? BANANA! Some of you already knew this, but for those of you who didn't, be prepared to be blown away! So how to make this delicious delight? See below!

1 and 1/2 Banana (ripe - but not banana bread ripe, this will be too mushy)

1. Cut the banana up into coin size pieces, and freeze for 1 - 2 hours (they need to be hard)

2. Once frozen place into a food processor or blender (I used a blender and it worked like a treat, I have a Breville blender too just FYI)

3. It'll turn into a soft serve, at this point feel free to add any flavours and blend them in - I placed some honey and cinnamon in, but have heard that cocoa powder or raspberry coulis works a treat too!

4. Eat as is for a softer ice cream, or place into an airtight container and back in the freezer to enjoy scoops!

Enjoy - please note, it does not taste like creamy ice cream, however it has the same texture of ice cream and picks up the wonderful flavours you put in, without all the nasties - and for someone who is lactose intolerant but LOVES ice cream (A.K.A me) this is the PERFECT treat for any season! xx

Oh, What a Feast!
