Please don't judge me for the theme of my post - given that today is "love" day (i.e. Valentine's Day), but yes this was done on purpose.
You know, regardless of your status - single or in a relationship of some sort, it is nice to be loved and acknowledged on this day. But there are so many people out there in the world that don't even know what it means to be loved at all, so take the time to smile at someone, open the door for them, give them your seat on a full train or even just say thank you with sincerity and take the time to appreciate each person you are privileged to meet.
If you do have a special someone, make sure they know that you care and appreciate them and it's nice to spoil and be spoilt today, so buy someone some roses and chocolates, bake a cake, take them out for a meal, get or make them a cute card, or cook a delicious dinner to show them that you love them. But don't just limit your love to this one day, spontaneity is one of the fun-est things about life - so be spontaneous and never be afraid to show people love and kindness.
So if you don't have a Valentine this year, don't worry it's not the end of the world and I just want to tell you that I appreciate the fact that you read my blog (I seriously do!) and I hope that your life, not just this one day is filled with love and good things.
And to my husband Ben, I want to tell you that I love you, am blessed to have you and appreciate everything you do.
